Even in this period of economic uncertainty, the SECA team still stands by our aim of encouraging the younger generation to excel in their education journey, especially in fields related to our industry.

Since 2018, SECA has sponsored book prizes to the deserving graduates of both ITE colleges East and West. On 11th May 2022, the top graduates of ITE College East received these book prizes at the HNitec Graduation Ceremony.

 

About The Recipients

All three recipients of the SECA book prize not only excel in their studies, but have also shown exemplary conduct as student leaders.

The 3 recipients are Mr Ng Jiang Hong, Mr Muhammad Imran and Ms Nurin Atiqah.

Jiang Hong was part of team that represented the college in a recent project organized by EduNET, Phoenix Contact, where ITE College East was the only global representative for Singapore. Jiang Hong also serves as a Class Eco Ambassador and commits to motivating fellow classmates to become more energy conscious and adopt environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Imran is a proactive student who willingly shares his knowledge with his peers readily. A majority of his projects was focused on helping the community, esspecially for people with special needs. Imran has shown how he can utilize his knowledge in engineering to benefit society.

Through her excellent academic performance and active participation in engineering competitions, events as well as her contributions to her CCA, Nurin has been awarded the Service Star Diamond Award. Nurin is consistently a high performer whose mature and amiable character is an inspiration to her peers.
