QPM’S LEW Course – Preferential Rates for SECA Members
SECA has secured an arrangement with Quality Power Management Pte Ltd (“QPM”) to enable interested SECA members (and associates from the same company) to enjoy a 10% discount off QPM’s LEW Course fees.
The discounted fee works out to $1,059.30 ($990 + GST $69.3) per attendee for the two-day course, instead of the standard fee of $1,177 ($1,100 + GST $77).
About QPM’s LEW Course
Since its inaugural LEW course in August 2013, QPM’s LEW Course is recognized as the most established in the industry. Based on class size, the course locations are either at the QPM’s Training Room at Tradehub21, or at ABB’s Intelligent Switchgear Technology Training Centre in ITE College West. QPM’s objective is to share with course attendees its experience and knowledge as a well-recognised provider of professional LEW services.
One main aspect of QPM’s LEW Course is that it is kept interactive so as to ensure the sharing of knowledge through an informal and open learning environment. The course trainers have in-depth working experience in the various modules, enabling a better sharing of processes and issues to class attendees. Past course attendees comprise mainly of experienced working personnel, and two-way sharing is much-encouraged, so that everyone in class can learn from each other’s work experiences.
QPM’s LEW Course also offers a hands-on aspect of the LEW responsibilities. Under the guidance of the trainers, class attendees will also be able to practices on QPM’s own test board. QPM’s extensive expertise in the licensing field is gained from QPM’s LEW responsibilities which cover large commercial building and shopping malls, to small electrical installations such as individual shops. With such a large pool of knowledge to be shared, QPM has continually improved to enable their course to be the best in the industry.
The course is held over two days and is divided into the following eight modules :
Module 1: Introduction & Overview of Singapore’s LEW Regime
Module 2: EMA Licensing, CS3 and Turn-On Procedures
Module 3: CP5 – Code of Practice for Electrical Installations
Module 4: Electrical Hazards & Safety Practices
Module 5: Other Mandatory Code of Practice such as Generator Requirements and Temporary Supply Requirements
Module 6: Electrical Testing for Inspection and Turn-On
Module 7: Design Requirement for LV Switchboards
Module 8: Question & Answer for Course Review
Standard Fees: $1,177 (inclusive of prevailing 7% GST) per trainee
(The course will include lunch and light refreshments during the breaks)
